The We Are One Lunch Program vision is a cooperative effort that will feed every child in Canada while simultaneously generating employment opportunities within each community. Our plan will lead to a brighter future for all of our children and citizens. It is the first of its kind forging a path toward a brighter future, and improving the economic viability of our cities, communities, and country.

The We Are One mission plans to implement and sustain a comprehensive and nutritious national school lunch program for elementary-aged school children daily. We will collaborate with educational institutions, government agencies, and local communities. Offering innovative solutions, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to the well-being of our nation’s youth, we aim to ensure every student across Canada has access to healthy and balanced meals. This will promote their academic success, overall health, and their future well-being.

The We Are One plan will implement a robust national school lunch program while also fostering widespread job creation within each local community We look forward to paving the way for a healthier, better-educated, and thriving Canada.

Meet Filip Rocca @rocca888 , We Are One Lunch Program`s 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫
Filip has over 30 years of experience in the food & beverage industry. He managed over 30 staff members daily and has organized multiple large events over the years. This includes a free charity luncheon to feed those in need every Christmas day since 2002. His restaurant received many awards under his ownership including Mayor’s Community Champion Award. Mayor Drew Dilkens for going above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic, feeding over 5,000 front-line workers.

Chef Sheldon has over 20+ years of experience in the restaurant industry with a focus on fine dining. Notable restaurants include The Chop House in Ann Arbor, MI where he served in a leadership capacity. He is also the culinary mastermind behind the Foodies Catering company, opened in 2020, whose launch coincided with the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. His ingenuity pivoted his catering business model to a drive-thru meal service from a mobile kitchen. Because community service is a core belief, Chef Sheldon initially began to serve free meals to fellow restaurant industry workers deeply impacted by the pandemic. Chef Sheldon continues to use his mobile kitchen to provide high-quality food with fresh ingredients for private parties both big and small.

One study that was published by the American Academy of Pediatrics showed that children are 56% more likely to develop PTSD if they are living with severe hunger.
Some of the other side effects in school-age children can include risk of chronic illnesses like asthma and anemia; behavioral problems like hyperactivity, and in more severe cases, anxiety and aggression.
Sometimes we have to ask the hard questions. Why hasn’t something been done yet?

During our pilot, the students RAVED about his pizza and he wanted to treat them once again to a complimentary slice of pizza for each student and cannoli for each teacher/admin staff member.
