Filip Rocca has been the Managing Partner of Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge since 2002 and has over 30 years of experience in the food & beverage industry. He manages over 30 staff members daily and has organized multiple large events throughout the years. This includes a free charity luncheon to feed those in need every Christmas day since 2002. He has received many awards through Mezzo. His most recent accolade was the Mayor’s Community Champion Award. He received this for going above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic, feeding over 5,000 front-line workers. Filip played semi-professional soccer and was part of the winning team for two Canada Cups. He was also awarded Defender of the Year, two years in a row. Filip coached both of his children’s soccer teams for 4 years. He also started the Windsor Stars, a semi-professional soccer team. Since 2017, Filip has served as President of the Via Italia BIA and has been involved in various organizations, including St. Angela Merici Parish. He currently sits on the Multicultural Society and ORHMA boards. One of his greatest memories was his mission trip to Ghana, Africa in 2019 with the Rotary Club of Essex.
