Chef Sheldon Alexander has over 20+ years of experience in the restaurant industry with a focus on fine dining. Notable restaurants include The Chop House in Ann Arbor, MI where he served in a leadership capacity. He is also the culinary mastermind behind the Foodies Catering company, opened in 2020, whose launch coincided with the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. His ingenuity pivoted his catering business model to a drive-thru meal service from a mobile kitchen. Because community service is a core belief, Chef Sheldon initially began to serve free meal service to fellow restaurant industry workers deeply impacted by the pandemic. This meal service quickly expanded to serve members of the Ann Arbor fire & police departments, postal workers, bus drivers, and nurses. In all, the Foodies mobile kitchen supplied 8000 meals to first responders. Chef Sheldon continues to use his mobile kitchen to provide high-quality food with fresh ingredients for private parties both big and small. All courses are prepared on-site and custom to the customer’s specifications and event. He strives to provide a high level of service, food quality & attention to detail, that you would receive in a high-class restaurant.
